I had never had any coaching personally but had seen demonstrations of the method and the benefits several times. When Alison asked if I would mind being a guinea pig for other people to watch how it might work I decided this was too good an opportunity to miss. How often do you get to make your plans publicly with all those people as witnesses and therefore as potential supporters?
Alison talked me through why I thought I was stuck in my career and asked me how I might move forward. Well, a few weeks later I had a new contract in exactly the line of work I’m interested in. I had also followed through my decision to only describe my work in a certain way to ensure people did not pigeon-hole me in the wrong way. This means that people really understand the kind of work I do and not all the little jobs I’ve done before to get here. It feels good! I would definitely recommend it!
